Seminar “Beyond training: Possibilities and risks in competitive sports” for coaches

The slogan “Citius, Altius, Fortius” (Faster, Higher, Stronger) is addressed to all members of the Olympic community. However, the cost of such an approach to sport can be immense. Injury and physical exhaustion are the most obvious risks, while in recent years more and more athletes have spoken out about the mental problems that can be caused or exacerbated by the demands of competition. The aim of this seminar is to promote a modern approach to training with a focus on the mental health of athletes.

Seminar “Gender in the gym – Modern approaches to sport for all”

Do you wonder why there are so few girls and even fewer women in your gym, why they don’t compete or why they stop training at some point in their lives? Are you concerned about the lack of sponsorship for your female athletes? Do you want to open your space to trans and non-binary people, but don’t know what to do about the locker room?
In this seminar we focus on your interests and concerns. Experimental and participatory in approach, it includes experiential exercises, discussion, and space for questions and inquiry. With a specialization in queer psychology and years of experience in seminars on these topics, I can assist you exactly according to your needs.

The workshops follow an interdisciplinary approach. Violence does not exist in a vacuum. It is always related to power, which in a patriarchal society is mainly exercised against women and queer people. However, we also see other forms of oppression such as racism, classism and ableism as factors of violence. Therefore, I suggest that we communicate before the workshops so that we can prepare appropriately according to the needs of the group.

And then I’m outside of myself, detached from the storm of emotional shit raging through my body. There is an unspeakable calm. It’s done now.
